Start Writing Here:
I can remember walking out of the airport. The heat just hit me like a bus. Mum and Dad had told me it was going to be really hot in Australia. We threw our bags in the cars and made our way to my Aunty and Uncles house. As soon as I got there I changed straight into my togs and dived  into the pool with an all mighty splash. The water felt really cold against my skin. I spent most of my first day and night in the pool playing marco polo. When the darkness of the night came we turned the pool lights on and continued on playing. My skin was really wrinkly like a raisin and all I could taste was salt. I think there wouldn't have been one day in the whole six weeks we were in Australia that I didn't go swimming in the pool.

Today's reading

Today’s Reading Challenge
WALT:  We are learning to read texts fluently.
Success Criteria:

We will record ourselves reading a poem with expression and fluency by Shel Silverstein.

COVID19
It was 2019 and this all began overseas
When people in China started to sneeze
It spread to our country very fast
We really didn't think it would last
It's now six weeks into lockdown, and this is no breeze.

No uniforms needed and that's what I cheer about
We sit on our couch and log into google hang out
We can't go to our grandparents for a weekend stay
Or we can’t go kayaking at our local bay
I can't wait to go back to school to see my mates so I will have no pout.
